    John!!!!!! I've been cuts from John Ryan for at least 35 years. We have both moved away from Berkeley but he flys back about every month and I fly down to meet him. I've never found anyone as good in Portland. Plus the conversation can't be beat. It's like seeing a family member.

    The one consistent compliment I always get is for my hair. John Ryan has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 20 years. I ahve followed him through 3 locations and 2 cities. Over these 20 years, I have tried others. But the challenge with the others I've tried has been a huge fear of layering and thinning my thick hair. John is the only one who is able to add movement to my very straight and heavy hair. With his cuts, my hair has a life of its own. Trust me, I've tried a few others and always come back to John, the only one I really trust with my hair.

    I can't say enough good things about Simone! She is an absolute wizard when it comes to curly hair. My kids have always struggled to find someone who understands and can properly manage their beautiful curls, but Simone is truly an expert. From the moment we walked into the salon, her professionalism and warm demeanor put us at ease.
